Cosmic nails from Avon

Ma zbat sa fac postarea asta de la inceputul saptamanii insa tot a aparut cate ceva si am amanat. Dar pana acum. V-am starnit deja curiozitatea pe facebook cu aceste 4 noi oje de la Avon asa ca o sa trec direct la subiect. Adica la poze :)))

 I'm struggling to write this post for almost a week, unfortunately all kind of things kept me busy. Until now. I've already made you curious about these 4 new Avon polishes on my facebook page so I'll cut to the chase. Enjoy the pictures!

Pentru inceput m-am gandit sa va arat cum arata ojele aplicate direct pe unghie, fara o baza. Toate sunt date in 3 straturi si dupa cum puteti vedea sunt inca destul de transparente. Daca ar fi sa fac o diferenta, as zice ca cea mov si cea rosie acopera cel mai bine. Cu cea albastra m-am luptat putin, mi se parea ca particulele nu se aseaza uniform. Lucrurile se schimba insa cand sunt aplicate peste o baza. O sa vi le prezint pe rand in detaliu.

First of all I must show you how they look applied directy to the nail, without a base. I'm having three coats on each nail and as you can see they're still pretty sheer. If I had to compare them I would say that the purple and the red one have the best coverage. The blue one was pretty hard to work with, the particles kept dragging around. But things get totally different when they're applied over a black base. I'll discuss them separately.

1. Fiery sky

Caramiziul asta e preferatul meu. Imi place ca fulgisorii au un aspect metalic. S-a aplicat usor si are un luciu foarte frumos.

 

This rusty red is my favourite.  I love that the flakies look a little bit metallic. It was easy to apply and has a beautiful shine.

2. Cosmic trip

 Si aceasta e destul de spectaculoasa. In poza mea nu se vad chiar bine dar fulgisorii sunt chiar frumosi, au reflexe albastrie, mov, aurii....

Cosmic trip is pretty spectacular too. My picture doesn't show it so good but those flakies are really pretty: blue. purple, a little bit of gold...
 

3. Starry night

Starry night e alcatuita din fulgisori mov, albastri si aurii intr-o baza mov. Arata chiar frumos in lumina soarelui. 

Starry night consists mostly of purlpe, blue and gold flakies in a purple base. It looks really nice in the sunlight.

4. Celestial blue

Dupa cum sugereaza si numele, Celestial blue e alcatuita din aceeasi fulgisori cu reflexe multicolore dar de aceasta data intr-o baza albastra.

Celestial blue is no different from the others, multicolored flakies in a blue base this time.

Una peste alta cred ca aceste 4 lacuri sunt chiar deosebite cu mentiunea ca arata mai bine aplicate peste o baza. Ma deranjeaza faptul ca Avon nu mentioneaza acest lucru in brosura. Nu ma vad purtandu-le simple. Oricum, sunt destul de faine si lucesc frumos de aceea vi le recomand daca sunteti in cautarea unui top coat cu fulgisori.

All in all I think these are quite great over a base but I hate the fact that Avon fails to mention this in the brochure. I don't see myself wearing them on their own. Nonetheless, they're pretty cool and shiny, I recommend them if you're looking for a flakie topper.
